SUMMARY:Peace by visual arts
DESCRIPTION:Peace by visual arts: by Lerato Maris \nThrough art\, creativity\, and self-expression\, our participants explored what peace means to them in unique and inspiring ways. \nOur first group\, the toddlers\, expressed peace through colourful drawings and nature-inspired creations. They explored how different colours influence their emotions and moods\, while some used sticks and leaves to create beautiful artworks\, demonstrating that nature plays an important role in peace and brings its own colours to brighten our lives. \nThe second group\, consisting of juniors and teens\, viewed art as a powerful form of self-expression. Their portrayals reflected personal journeys and aspirations; one participant represented a doctor as a symbol of purpose and peace\, while another highlighted self-love and self-care. Others demonstrated how meditation\, music\, work\, and a connection with nature contribute to inner peace and personal well-being. \nOur third group of teen students presented mature and thoughtful perspectives on peace. They emphasized the connection between education and success\, showing how responsibility\, self-care\, and academic commitment can create a peaceful and productive life. Through depictions of household responsibilities\, poetry writing\, and academic achievement\, they illustrated how peace can be nurtured within oneself and shared with the wider world through positive actions and leadership. \nTogether\, these creative expressions remind us that peace takes many forms; through nature\, self-care\, education\, creativity\, responsibility\, and the pursuit of purpose.
